THE POWER OF MATHEMATICS:
VISUALIZING BIOLOGICAL CHANGES

Abstract: It is known that the biology (from Greek bios = life and logos = science, teaching) is a science concerned with the study of the living world, the science of life. On the other hand, mathematics is the language of science. The paper will show how, by combining mathematics and biology, we can explore and finally evaluate the topic of human development. We will show how (biological) changes in human (mankind) development can be visualized with learned mathematical skills by applying a dynamic program (The Geometer’s Sketchpad), a tool that helps in visualization.
