Abstract: We aim to present the connection between ethnomathematics, symmetry, and aspects such as values, culture, and tradition. Additionally, we will showcase findings from ethnomathematical research among the Bedouins (tribes in the Middle East who preserve traditional life) and how teachers and school leaders of diverse ethnic backgrounds can enhance mathematical understanding in general and the understanding of the concept of symmetry in particular, among young students.
