Abstract: An experiment was conducted to study and categorise by ear the pitch and timbre of supershape sounds. The resulting observations were compared to the graphical images of supershapes and the harmonic spectrum of their x and y coordinates waveforms. The experiment, first results, and future work are briefly described here.

Keywords: supershapes, audiovisual perception of geometry, sound catalogue
