PERIODICITY AND CYCLIC RECURRENCE AS A BASIS OF MUSICAL TIME ARRANGEMENT

Abstract: The article is dedicated to the manifestations of symmetry in a musical composition, such as periodicity and cyclicity. The author also considers the partial manifestations of those principles, their expressive and compositional meaning, as well as their roots in various musical paradigms of different eras.
