SYMMETRY OF PLANAR ORNAMENTS IN HELLENIC THROUGH SELJUK AGES

Abstract: Planar ornaments of medieval civilizations are classified in terms of 17 wall­­paper groups. The calculated correlations place the civilizations in two main clusters.
