Abstract: The aim of the present study is to achieve harmonious colour combinations through the principles of proportioning. The scientific methods used herein are: theoretical analysis of the principles of proportioning, comparative analysis of the obtained results, experimental and empirical study as well as a statistical one – mathematical processing of the data.

Keywords: Golden ratio, colours, CMYK colour scheme, geometrical progression.
